If customers find you by location, local SEO is the most useful kind of search marketing you can do. It is about showing up when someone nearby searches for what you sell.

1. Claim your Google Business Profile

This free listing controls what appears on Google Maps and in the local results box. Search for your business, claim the profile and complete verification. Fill in every field: category, address, phone, opening hours, photos and a short description.

2. Keep your name, address and phone the same everywhere

Use exactly the same business name, address and phone number on your website, Google profile, Instagram bio and directory listings. Inconsistent details confuse search engines and customers.

3. Add photos and keep them fresh

Profiles with real photos of the shop, products and team look more trustworthy. Add new photos every month.

4. Ask for reviews, and reply to them

Reviews help people decide. After a good experience, send happy customers a link to leave a review, then reply politely to every one, including the critical ones.

5. Put your location on your website

  • Mention your city and neighbourhood in your homepage heading or first paragraph.
  • Add a contact page with your address and an embedded map.
  • Write page titles like Physiotherapist in Kothrud, Pune | Your Clinic.
Local SEO is mostly about being clear, consistent and active.

6. Create pages for what you sell

If you offer several services, give each its own section or page, with a short explanation and a way to enquire. This helps you appear for more specific searches.

Every website we build includes the on-page basics: location-aware titles, descriptions, structured data and a sitemap. Talk to us if you would like help setting up your Google profile too.
